Greek Feta Meatballs (Keftedes)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp feta cheese, crumbled
  • 3 tbsp mint, fresh
  • 1 tsp parsley, dried
  • 1 tsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tbsp balsamic

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375. Add your cast iron pan in at this time (or baking sheet).

  2. Combine all the dried herbs, feta, egg, balsamic and ground beef in a bow. Mix with your hands or fork. Roll into 14 meatballs.

  3. Once oven is preheated, take out your cast iron pan with hot pad holder and place the meatballs in the pan. Bake for 10 minutes or 12-14 if using a baking sheet.

  4. Serve over a bed of mixed greens and homemade or store bought tzaiziki sauce.
